cool design Anton.. i Love it

  2. Maria Panayiotou says:

    Nice design, interesting biography!

  3. Fumi Okonweze says:

I’m impressed with your bio on ft.com, and the show is quite entertaining - well done.

  4. Paul Elvin says:

Like the design of this site, well done. I will look forward to the updates and and also another series if you get the funding. Good luck.

  5. Wendy Swinburne says:

Liked your cool headed approach in the last episode - interesting series - I have a newfound respect for traders - after going to Edinburgh Uni with a bunch of braying public school boys who intended to join a city firm after getting a 2:1 in History, it is refreshing to see that it takes more than the right almer mater to be a successful trader. Incidentally, the way they edited your responses to the fannies on your team showed considerable patience - hope to see a second series.

  6. Rache says:

Well done for taking time out to travel and see the world for what it really is, outside of the wealth you accumulated from trading. Seeing other countries/cultures and people is one of the best educations a person can get and it also really puts our lives here in perspective and makes us realise how spoiled and lucky we are. “It is preoccupation with possession, more than anything else, that prevents men from living freely and nobly”. - Bertrand Russell

  7. stewart says:

re Part III, million $ Trders,…you did absolutely the right thing when Cleo went, allowing the ‘natural’ reactions of the other traders to play out. ‘Pearl fishing’ best sums up the experiment, you throw the bad ones overboard, and if anything, the impression given from the programme (appreciate it may be the way it was edited) was that cleo, amit, simon should have gone earlier. The only downside would have been the risk of de-stabilising the ‘group’ but actually the 3 that were left were probably never gonna walk anyway…good stuff, well done!

  8. Fay says:

Century Films seemed to me, to try and edit you as a villain, but actually I think you showed incredible patience with people like Simon and Cleo.

  9. Helen Emerson says:

Just caught up with last nights episode - great!
Just goes to show that the traders that stuck in there and were confident with their own decisions were the most successful.
Hope to see more of the same with a new series in the future.

  10. Lee says:

Having watched Million Dollar Traders I came to one conclusion only. This country would not be in a recession if Anton Kreil still worked in the City. Fair enough he’s scouse, but he’s also a genius.

  11. Reni says:

    Like seriously…its un-believable

  12. Jerome K says:

Wow! What a genius. If only had someone like you on my desk to guide and coach me…. How do you do it?

  13. Katie Byrne says:

I whole heartedly agree with the above - Anton is truly inspirational. Make another series of Million Dollar Traders or it’s going to have to be a gun to the head.

  14. Dave H MBA says:

Looking at a few general TV sites, the view seems to be that the prog would attract more people if there were some more explanation of the key terms, such as hedging or shorting. Obviously, that would need perhaps a 6-prog run (and rather less of the stereotypical reality characters), but a “term of the week” with a short explanation and some film of someone indulging in it, might be the way to go.

No good my applying for the next series as I don’t know what 6 a.m. even looks like! (okay, can I do the US desk?).

  15. Ellie Campbell-Gough says:

So inspiring, so moving, and yet so humble. Truly, Anton is an example to us all.

  16. Jonny says:

very interesting show, but did anyone else find that anton and lex seemed slightly pyschopathic?

  18. Fran says:

Lex is cool……but Anton is so HOT! Women across the land have left their jam making and tuned in to ‘Million Dollar Traders.’ Please tell me there will be more.
    Perfect!xox

  19. Emily says:

‘left their jam making’??? lol. if there is another series i would definately tune in to see both the trading and anton because his wit makes the show so funny to watch and yea he’s good to look at too. but i cant say i’ll be ‘leaving my jam making’ to do so. at 21 iv never heard that saying lol

  20. Fran says:

Precisely! The Anton marketing machine has captured viewers of 21 years and those of us who are older at 50 years…hence ‘jam making’! It is in reference to the WI, suggesting that there might bee more to discover in life than jam! Still hot!

  21. Emmy says:

“Leave the jam-making” for trading?! C’mon, women of the Noughties - it’s perfectly possible to do both. Try certain high street bank’s online platform (you know the one; just announced down 14% this quarter), it’s fairly user-friendly and one can happily click away, leaving the other hand free for stirring jam pans / straightening hair / loading dishwasher / baby yoga as applicable.

  22. Fran says:

So where are all these multi tasking women? They are not on the trading floor. Shame though!

  23. exesiarne says:

Hi, cool site, good writing ;)

  24. Claire says:

Great series. Pity it was only 3 episodes. Anton is great - definitely the star.

My only criticism, and it’s not really a critism because I loved the show, is that I would have liked to have seen the shares actually move on the screen. We didn’t see anyone getting stopped out, for example because that’s horrible when you’re sitting there staring at the screen and the numbers are going in the wrong direction. I would have preferred a bit more emphasis on the actual nuts and bolts of trading rather than just watching the participants’ reactions.

I started day trading around the time the Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae thing happened - about the same time as the guys on the programme - and it’s real edge of the seat stuff.

I hope there’s a seconed series anyway. Perhaps Anton could have a love interest next time!

  25. Sopimmose says:

fascinating and communicative, but would be suffering with something more on this topic?

  26. Jamil Nawaz says:

Excellent programme and Anton does a damn fine job of managing the traders. All the experience from a city career comes to the fore many times througout the episodes.
Trading is much more about psychology and discipline and employing an effective risk and money management strategy than just the “nuts and bolts” of entering and exiting and managing trades. Much respect to Anton for his awe inspiring story, in coming from a very humble background to attain success and wealth and most imortantly humility and happiness. Best of luck for all that you are planning.

  30. I read your post, and it really helped expand my knowledge. Your post can help me improve my internet marketing tactics. Thanks!

  31. Milan Novotny says:

You were the only thing worth watching on the show to be honest Anton ;)

  32. Emmy says:

Love the link on present status update. Reminds me of the thoughts & ideals I had when I left university. Surprisingly upset to think that I lost sight of those ideals somewhere along the way. Food for thought indeed.

  33. Jamie says:

If ud sell them at GBP6 in an hour sell them at GBP6.26 Now! liaten to what your saying man lol like serouisly its unbelivable! - Quality

  34. Claire says:

Anton, I’m still smarting a bit from your judgement on Babyboomers. I guess you used APC analysis for these listings.

I believe this analysis is flawed and I’ve found a paper which explains exactly how these data can be so unreliable. Unfortunately I can’t cite this paper or even the website without express permission; but if anyone’s interested (probably other Babyboomers) you can most likely find it through a good search engine.

I know that so much has changed in the last 30 years, for example, in terms of social demographics and in consequence, the social groupings for marketing purposes so I’m just wondering when your APC cohort listings were last reviewed to reflect any significant changes.

    Any idea?

  35. Rooddelve says:

    emm.. thanks ))

  36. ArianaJami says:

I am very interested in this

  37. nick says:

hi im nick and im 12,
im really intrested in city trading and was wondering if you can buy the series or watch it anywhere

  38. maria says:

This might be little to late but the last episode was only aired on Oz tv tonight. It was awesome !!! You are awesome !!!

  39. Sav says:

    Dude you rock!
Loved you on the show. Very cool, very calm, authoritative, harsh when you needed to be, but pretty bloody fair overall. It’s a high pressure situation, and if people can’t handle it they need to GTFO. I work in a similar situation in another field and the bottom line is you can be as smart as you want but some people can handle intense presure and make split second decisions and ome can’t. YOu can learn it a bit but basically you are either like that or you aren’t. And if you’re not - get out.
